    Giovanni Coticchio, Responsabile Scientifico del network 9.baby, coordinando e progettando i programmi di ricerca del gruppo

    Giovanni Coticchio, laureato nel 1985 in Scienze Biologiche a Palermo, dopo il dottorato in Biologia Cellulare e dello Sviluppo nel medesimo ateneo ha conseguito il master in Scienze Mediche – Tecnologie della Riproduzione Assistita presso l’Università degli studi di Nottingham (UK), completando nel 2013 la propria formazione con un corso in materia di gestione di dati per la ricerca clinica delle Vanderbilt University.

    Formatosi in laboratori di embriologia di istituzioni universitarie e di centri di procreazione assistita a Nottingham e Sidney, dal 1998 al 2009 ha lavorato come embriologo clinico senior e come coordinatore della ricerca a Bologna, in Tecnobios Procreazione.

    Ha coordinato dal 2010 alla fine del 2017 le attività di ricerca di Biogenesi, centro di procreazione assistita degli Istituti Clinici Zucchi, a Monza.

    È Associate Editor di Human Reproduction dal 2014 ed è stato dal 2010 al 2015 parte del comitato editoriale del Journal of Assisted Reproductio and Genetics.

    Ha collaborato come reviewer con le principali testate specializzate in biologia e medicina della riproduzione (Human Reproduction, Human Reproduction Update, Molecular Human Reproduction, Fertility and Sterility, Lancet, Theriogenology, Journal of Assisted Reproduction and Genetics, Journal of Ovarian Research, Plos One, Biology of Reproduction).

    Ha pubblicato 73 lavori peer-reviewed, diversi capitoli e due libri (Coticchio G, Albertini DF, De Santis L.  “Oogenesis”. Springer. London UK, 2013 e Borini A, Coticchio G.“Preservation of human oovytes” Informa Healthcare. London UK, 2009).

    Ha coordinato gruppi di lavoro nell’ambito di progetti sulla crioconservazione ovocitaria (2003-2005 e 2005-2007) promossi dall’Istituto Superiore di Sanità.

    Dal 2012 al 2014 è stato Vice Presidente della SIERR, Società Italiana di Embriologia, Riproduzione e Ricerca.

    E’ stato responsabile scientifico dell’organizzazione di diversi campus ESHRE e diversi convegni internazionali, tra i quali alcuni di quelli organizzati da Tecnobios Procreazione (oggi 9.baby Symposium).

    E’ attualmente Past Coordinator del SIG di Embriologia e SIG Chair-elect dell’ESHRE.
